The Núria Gatnau family dental clinic is a Platinum Elite Provider, meaning that we have treated between 81 and 150 patients in the last 12 months.
Invisalign is a near-invisible brace. To fit it, the orthodontist creates a personalised plan using an advanced system of 3D images. This plan includes both the initial position of the teeth and their desired final position. Based on this, a series of personalised aligners is made to move the teeth a little bit at a time.
The patient wears each aligner for roughly one or two weeks before swapping it for the next one. In this way, the teeth gradually move towards their intended final position. How long the treatment lasts depends on the specific needs of each patient; this will be decided by the orthodontist and Invisalign.
There are a number of advantages to this system. The aesthetic aspect is one factor because Invisalign is practically imperceptible. It’s also a more comfortable system than traditional braces, which can cause issues such as ulcers or small cuts. Hygiene is another factor; the fact that it is removable makes it far easier to clean. Lastly, it’s also worth mentioning that this is a predictable system. Both the doctor and the patient know how the process will unfold.
While Invisalign undoubtedly has immense potential and plenty of advantages as a treatment, it is essential that it is fitted by an orthodontist with expertise and experience. The Núria Gatnau family dental clinic is recognised as a Platinum Elite Provider (one of the highest ratings awarded to orthodontists specialising in this system). This means that we have treated between 81 and 150 patients in the past 12 months. If you have any doubts about Invisalign or think it could be the right treatment for you, come along to the clinic and we’ll advise you.
